On Thursday, November 9, former Lawrence North High School standouts David Meriwether and DJ Hughes’ current college team, the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, lost 76-79 in their NCAA D1 game against the Elon Phoenix.

The game took place in Elon, North Carolina. This was the first matchup against the Elon Phoenix this season.
