We honored eight-year-old Sebastian McGee for his bravery

Gray School held an assembly this morning and Sheriff Keith Sexton, Chief Deputy John Rose and Capt. Chris Stine joined the school's SRO Katy Pellien, K-9 Sgt. Phoenix and Lt. Kevin Sanders in honoring McGee.

Early on the morning of January 28, Sebastian McGee woke up seeing fire and smelling smoke. He woke up the rest of his family, resulting in five people getting out safely.

The department presented Sebastian with a Certificate of Bravery, a special Challenge Coin from the Sheriff and patches from all the agencies that responded to the fire.
