Milligan University men's basketball lost 102-68 at No. 5 Union on Wednesday night.

The Buffs move to 7-13 this season and 7-10 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matchups. Union improves to 20-1 and remains unbeaten (18-0) in AAC action.

The game was controlled by Union early on as they broke out to an 11-3 lead in the opening two minutes. Milligan called timeout to try and break the momentum, but was unable to do so as the lead was quickly extended to 18-4.

The Buffs showed some fight for a five minute stretch as they closed the gap to 28-21. However, this was short lived as the Bulldogs once again extended their lead. Milligan trailed 49-29 as the teams went into the half.

The second half was all Union as the Bulldogs gained a 70-41 lead after the opening eight minutes. The nationally-ranked hosts led by as many 38 points in the game and walked away with a 102-68 victory.

Sam Gold was the leading scorer for the Buffs with 16 points. Two other Buffs also reached double-figures as Flynn Carlson scored 12 and Sami Sanad tallied 10.
