Milligan University earned No. 9 billing in the fall standings of the NAIA LEARFIELD Directors' Cup, which were released on Thursday morning.

Points for the LEARFIELD College Directors' Cup are based on each institution's finish at the NAIA National Championships for each respective sport. Men's cross country, women's cross country and men's soccer earned points with national championship appearances and totaled 205.00 points.

Milligan's cross country teams both ran to national runner-up finishes at the 2022 NAIA National Cross County Championships in November. The Buffs totaled seven cross country All-Americans and notched both team's second-highest national finish in program history.

The Buffs' men's soccer team made its third-straight appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. Milligan won the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) regular season championship for the second time in the last three years to earn and automatic berth to the national tournament. The Buffs earned the No. 3 seed in the Mobile Bracket and fell to No. 21 Warner Pacific in the opening game.

The NAIA LEARFIELD Directors' Cup winter standings will be released on March 30.
