Curt's Ace Hardware is holding its grand opening event Wednesday through Saturday

Curt's Ace Hardware will be hosting a grand opening celebration beginning Wednesday in celebration of its fifth Tri-City location in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

The store is owned by grocer Food City.

“As we continue to grow and expand our company to better serve our customers' needs, we are excited to be joining the Ace Hardware family of stores,” Food City President and CEO Steve Smith said. “Sadly, locally owned hardware stores are becoming a thing of the past. Having served in the grocery industry for 40-plus years, I have seen firsthand how important a local well-run supermarket is to the community, and I think the same holds true for local hardware stores.” 

America’s most celebrated “helpful place”  is having Curt's Ace Hardware grand opening Wednesday to Saturday. The store is located at 1731 Highway 19E Bypass in Elizabethton. Curt's Ace Hardware brings the company’s unique blend of personal, knowledgeable and helpful service -- paired with quality home maintenance expertise and products -- to Elizabethton residents.

This is the fifth Curt’s Ace Hardware location to open as part of Food City’s venture into the hardware retail industry. Curt’s Ace Hardware held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 29 for the newest location to join the Tri-Cities' latest retailer expansion. Other Curt’s Ace Hardware locations are in Piney Flats, Erwin, Gray and Bristol, Virginia.

Customers can come in for the chance to win a variety of prizes or take advantage of sales throughout the store and enter to win an Weber Spirit II E Ace Hardware 210 gas grill valued at $459, Ego Power Plus Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer valued at $249, a Paint-a-Room Makeover valued at $125, or a Milwaukee Drill and Driver Set valued at $399.

Exclusive offers that will be honored in-store include $5 off $25 on Friday and a free Ace 5-gallon bucket to the first 200 customers, plus 20% off everything that fits into the bucket on Saturday.

Curt's Ace Hardware was designed to reflect the needs of the local community, offering products and services customers have come to expect from a full-service Ace store to meet their everyday home maintenance needs. The store has an extensive array of high-quality products in a variety of categories, including paint and supplies, hand and power tools, outdoor living, lawn and garden, grilling, plumbing, electrical and hardware.

Curt's Ace Hardware offers expert services in key cutting, paint color matching, glass cutting, screen repair, delivery, assembly and more. The store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies, including the top brand names and best-selling items to help people take care of their homes.

Key store focuses and product offerings include the best brand names, such as Scotts, Weber, Craftsman, Milwaukee, Benjamin Moore, Clark+Kensington, Big Green Egg, DeWalt, Toro and many more.

Curt's Ace Hardware hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
