Milligan University volleyball players Sarah Grace Larkey and Ella Maiden collected Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Larkey is a senior nursing major with a 3.53 cumulative grade point average. She ranked third on the roster with 178 kills and 1.62 kills per set as an outside hitter. Larkey logged seven or more kills a dozen times over the course of the season and accumulated 20 aces.
Maiden, a sophomore business administration major with a 3.82 GPA, repeated as a All-AAC First Team honoree. Maiden ranked second in the AAC with 134 blocks (1.18 blocks per set) and third in the conference with a .311 hitting percentage. She was second on the team with 296 kills (2.60 kills per set) and had 18 double-digit kill outings. Nationally, Maiden was second in solo blocks (59), 18th in blocks per set and 34th in hitting percentage.
The Buffs posted an 18-13 overall record and recorded their 14th-straight winning season in AAC play with a 14-7 league record.
