Milligan College Men’s Golf places 11th at AAC Fall Championship Preview

The Milligan University men's golf team finished 11th of 16 teams at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Championship Preview at Cross Creek Plantation Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The Buffs finished seventh among 12 AAC teams at the championship preview event. The conference's NAIA Direct Qualifier/AAC Spring Championship will be held at the same golf course in spring 2023. Milligan posted a 54-hole team score of 946, four strokes behind St. Andrews. No. 9 Dalton State won the event by 19 strokes with a team total of 867. No. 13 Truett McConnell was the top AAC team at the fall preview and fourth overall at 907 strokes.

Ty Beasley topped Milligan's five-man unit in South Carolina. He finished 29th with 231 strokes with a top round of 74. Jonathan Liggett followed in 35th with 234 strokes (76-79-79).

Gustaf Lundberg and Samuel Prater tied for 61st at 244 strokes. Jakob Modig finished 68.

Milligan's men's golf team returns to action in spring 2023.
