After orchestrating the Buccaneers to a winning weekend at the Stacheville Challenge, ETSU sophomore setter Caroline Dykes (Flower Mound, Texas) was dubbed Southern Conference Setter of the Week, announced the league office on Monday.
Dykes, who earned her third career weekly honor and first this season, helped guide the Bucs to sweeps over UT Martin and North Dakota State last weekend in Clarksville. The Flower Mound, Texas native totaled 79 assists, 22 digs, seven kills, five blocks, three aces and a .353 attack percentage in three matches last weekend.
Dykes began the week with 25 assists, seven digs, five kills, two blocks and two aces in the 3-0 win over UT Martin in the opener. In the nightcap, against tournament host Austin Peay, Dykes registered 24 assists and five digs. Dykes concluded the weekend with a double-double in the Saturday sweep over NDSU as the Buccaneer sophomore posted 30 assists and 10 digs. The double-double was Dykes’ fourth of the season.
The Bucs return to the court this Friday when ETSU hosts preseason SoCon favorite Wofford at 7 p.m. inside Brooks Gym.
