The Milligan University cycling team logged a third-place team finish at the 2022 USA Cycling Collegiate Track Cycling National Championships at the Major Taylor Velodrome in Indianapolis.
In total, the Buffs racked up 10 podium showings and four top-three overall finishes. Brody McDonald and Makayla MacPherson led the Buffs' charge with five podium appearances each over the three-day event.
McDonald earned a silver medal in the scratch race and finished fourth overall in the men's individual pursuit. MacPherson claimed a bronze medal in the women's scratch race and took fourth in the women's points race.
Gabriella Cedillos-Dixon joined MacPherson on the podium with a fifth-place showing in the women's scratch race.
The Buffs achieved three team podiums at the national championships. Both men's and women's team pursuits took third place. MacPherson, Cedillos-Dixon, Morgan Johnston and Madelline Mendoza made the women's podium and Trevor August, Adin Papell and McDonald appeared on the men's podium.
McDonald and MacPherson teamed for a fourth-place finish in the co-ed team sprint. In the final individual men's and women's omnium, McDonald placed fourth in the men's standings and MacPherson took fifth.
Milligan cycling turns its attention to the mountain bike discipline.
