Tusculum University Diddle Named to Tusculum Athletic Training Staff

Kaitlyn Diddle has been named an assistant athletic trainer at Tusculum University announced head athletic trainer Chris Lenker.

She is responsible for the athletic training needs for the sports of men's volleyball, football and men's & women's tennis. She will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the athletic training department.

The Johnson City, Tennessee native joins the TU staff after spending six years as an athletic trainer with Tennessee Orthopedic Clinics (2016-2022).

She also served as head athletic trainer at the Christian Academy of Knoxville from 2018-2022. She ran the daily operations of the CAK athletic training program including injury prevention, rehabilitation and budgeting. She provided preventative care, examination, diagnosis and treatment of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions for all high school and middle school student-athletes.

"Kaitlyn brings a wealth of experience and a wonderful personality and attitude," said Lenker. "I'm looking forward to the positive impact she will have on our student-athletes and the entire Tusculum athletic department."

"I am excited and thankful God has brought me to join the Tusculum family," Diddle added. "I look forward to the opportunity to work with the exceptional athletic training staff as we provide care for our student- athletes and cultivate an enriching environment for growth."

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Union University (Tenn.) in 2016. She completed her Masters of Healthcare Administration in 2017 from Austin Peay State University.

Diddle is a certified and licensed athletic trainer, holds certification in CPR and AED and is a registered orthopedic technician.

She and her husband, Brant Diddle, live in Johnson City with their five huskies: Ghost, Ryder, Hondo, Blaze and Lil Man.
