Fireworks are prohibited within the City of Elizabethton unless a special permit is obtained.
There have been three City permits issued for fireworks displays this weekend. The City of Elizabethton will have fireworks downtown on Saturday night, July 2nd. Southside Christian Church on Southside Road will have a display Sunday night, July 3rd. On Monday night, July 4th, Boyd Sports will have a fireworks display at the conclusion of the Elizabethton River Riders baseball game at Joe O'Brien Field.
