Cost of college went up for all students at Tusculum College

Tuition and fees rose 4.9 percent for 2018-19 at Tusculum College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $24,860 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,160 more than the $23,700 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 329 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.4 million and 227 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,735), 1,448 students used grants or scholarships totaling $22.1 million, and 1,177 students took out $9.6 million in federal student loans.
