The Southern Conference announced on March 11 that Oliver Blackadder, a freshman from Aberdeen, Scotland, has been named the Men’s Golfer of the Week. This marks the second weekly award of the season for East Tennessee State University’s men’s golf program.

Blackadder earned this recognition after his performance at the 41st Louisiana Classics, where he posted a collegiate-best score of 210 (six under par) and achieved his first top-10 finish in college competition. He finished tied for eighth overall in the tournament with rounds of 68 (four under), 68 (four under), and 74 (two over). Blackadder was just one stroke away from matching his best collegiate round of 67 (five under).

During the tournament, Blackadder recorded two eagles—one each in the first and second rounds—and made eight birdies across three rounds. His strong showing contributed to ETSU’s continued success this season.

The conference also listed previous honorees for Men’s Golfer of the Week, including Blackadder’s latest selection on March 11 and another on November 5.

Looking ahead, East Tennessee State University’s men’s golf team will compete next at the Pauma Valley Invitational from March 16 to March 18 at Pauma Valley Country Club in California.
