The NCAA has denied an eligibility waiver for East Tennessee State University (ETSU) football player Jacolby Criswell, according to a statement from the university’s athletics department. ETSU received notification of the decision on February 26, 2026.

In its effort to secure an extension of eligibility for Criswell, ETSU submitted supporting documentation and letters of support to the NCAA. Despite these efforts, the waiver request was not approved.

“ETSU supports Jacolby in his future endeavors on and off the field,” stated the athletics department.
