On Friday, March 21, former Greeneville High School standout Ja’Kobi Gillespie’s current collegiate team the Maryland Terrapins won 81-49 against the Grand Canyon Antelopes in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.
Hosted in Climate Pledge Arena, this was the first game against the Grand Canyon Antelopes during the championship.
The Maryland Terrapins’ next game will take place on Sunday, March 23 at 5:10 p.m. in Climate Pledge Arena against Colorado State Rams.
Ja’Kobi Gillespie’s hometown is Greeneville and game position is guard.
