On Friday, March 20, Ja’Kobi Gillespie, a former Greeneville High School basketball star, helped his current college team, the Tennessee Volunteers, secure a 78-56 victory over the Miami RedHawks in the NCAA Tournament.

The matchup was held at Xfinity Mobile Arena, tipping off at 4:25 p.m.

Gillespie recorded 29 points, nine assists, three rebounds and three steals over 36 minutes of play.

The Tennessee Volunteers are scheduled to play their next game on Sunday, March 22 at 6:10 p.m. at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
