Ja’Kobi Gillespie helps Tennessee secure NCAA Tournament win on March 22

On Sunday, March 22, Ja’Kobi Gillespie, a former Greeneville High School basketball star, helped lead his current team, the Tennessee Volunteers, to a 79-72 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers in NCAA Tournament play.

Xfinity Mobile Arena hosted the game with tipoff at 6:10 p.m.

Gillespie recorded 21 points, six assists, three rebounds and a steal during his 38 minutes on the court.

The Tennessee Volunteers will play next on Friday, March 27, at 9:10 p.m. at The United Center.
