East Tennessee State University’s women’s golf team received four postseason awards on Apr. 28 when the Southern Conference announced its 2025-26 women’s golf honors.
The awards recognized freshmen Gambini and Piyamanit, who were both named to the All-Southern Conference Team and the All-Freshman Team for their performances in their first collegiate seasons.
Piyamanit earned her first collegiate honors after finishing in the top ten five times, including a fifth-place finish at the Southern Conference Championship. Her best result of the season was second place at the Low Country Intercollegiate. She recorded a career-low round of 66 at the Houston Lake Invitational and achieved a three-round low score of 212 during her debut at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. Over the course of this season, Piyamanit had six rounds under par.
Gambini collected her second and third collegiate awards after previously being named SoCon Women’s Golfer of the Week in fall. She also had five top-ten finishes, with an eighth-place result at the conference championship. Gambini won her first individual tournament title with a score of 217 at Terrier Intercollegiate, posted a career-low round of 68 at UNCG Advances Golf Partners Collegiate, and set a three-round low mark of 215 at Houston Lake Invitational. During this season, she recorded nine rounds that were even or under par.
Other major Southern Conference awards included Player of the Year Audrey Ryu from Furman University, Freshman of the Year Olivia Hasselbach from Furman University, and Coach of the Year Jeff Hull from Furman University.
