ETSU men’s tennis defeats Tennessee Tech for tenth straight win

The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) men’s tennis team, ranked No. 63 nationally, secured a 4-0 victory against Tennessee Tech on Tuesday in Cookeville. This win marks the team’s tenth consecutive victory and brings their season record to 10-3.

ETSU took an early lead by winning the doubles point with matches ending 6-2 and 6-1. This is the third time in four matches that ETSU has claimed the doubles point.

In singles play, ETSU players at the top of the lineup contributed wins to secure the overall team victory. Martinez maintained his perfect singles record for the spring season, now standing at 10-0.

The Bucs will open Southern Conference play next Wednesday when they host UNC Greensboro in Johnson City. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
