The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) men’s tennis team achieved its 15th consecutive victory on March 27 by defeating Wofford College with a score of 7-0. This win brings the Buccaneers’ overall record to 15-3 and keeps them undefeated in Southern Conference play at 3-0.

The winning streak marks ETSU’s longest since the team also recorded 15 consecutive wins in the 2016 season. The match against Wofford began with strong doubles performances, as ETSU secured the doubles point after two pairs earned decisive 6-2 victories. The momentum continued into singles play, where ETSU won all six matches, five of which were decided in straight sets. The clinching moment came at the No. 3 singles spot with a commanding two-set win.

Full results from Friday’s match included victories for ETSU players across all singles positions and dominant showings in doubles competition. One doubles match remained unfinished when ETSU had already secured the overall point.

Looking ahead, ETSU is scheduled to face No. 70 Samford on Sunday in Birmingham, with first serve set for 2 p.m. eastern time.
