The baseball game between East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and James Madison University was suspended on Friday evening in Harrisonburg, Virginia, due to fog. The suspension occurred during the bottom of the fourth inning.

Both teams’ starting pitchers delivered strong performances early in the game, with neither allowing a run through the first three innings. ETSU managed to take the lead in the fourth inning after a triple off the right field wall, followed by a run scored on an error by James Madison.

Shortly after James Madison opened their half of the fourth inning with a walk and a double, officials halted play because of deteriorating visibility from fog. The game will resume on Saturday at 1 p.m., starting from the bottom of the fourth inning with no outs and runners on second and third base for James Madison. ETSU leads 1-0. The second game of the series is scheduled to follow.
