East Tennessee State University’s women’s golf team is set to compete in the 2026 Mercer Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational from February 20-22 at Great Waters Golf Club in Macon, Georgia. This marks the team’s eighth consecutive appearance at the tournament. Their best performance came in 2022 when they won both the team and individual titles.
The tournament will feature a field that includes Virginia Tech, Tulane, South Dakota State, Mercer, Delaware, Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Boston College, Wofford, UNC Greensboro, Daytona State, Western Carolina, Central Arkansas, Butler and ETSU. The format consists of three rounds of 18 holes each day from Friday through Sunday on a par-72 course measuring 7,400 yards.
In recent performances during the 2025-26 season, one player achieved her second top-five finish after placing fifth with a score of 219 (+3) at the UNCG Advances Golf Partner Collegiate. Another golfer recorded her third top-20 finish of the season with a total score of 224 (+8), including two rounds at 74 (+2), resulting in a 16th place finish. A team member was recognized as SoCon Women’s Golfer of the Week on October 15, 2025 after earning her first collegiate win at the Terrier Intercollegiate by shooting even-par in rounds one and three and one over in round two for an overall score of 217 (+1).
ETSU secured its first team tournament victory of the season at the Terrier Intercollegiate to conclude its fall schedule. This was their first tournament win since capturing the Southern Conference title in 2024. One player had rounds under and over par at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate and finished tied for 31st with a score of 219 (+6). Another led ETSU with a seventh-place finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge by shooting a total of 212 (-1), including two rounds under par.
In review of last season (2024-25), ETSU women’s golf placed fifth overall at the Southern Conference Tournament and achieved their best team result with a podium finish at the UNCG AGCP Invitational. The squad’s top single-day result occurred during day two of the More Than Golf Invitational when they shot nine-over-par.
The current roster includes several returning players from last year’s lineup as they prepare for another run this spring.
