On Saturday, March 1, former Daniel Boone High School standout Colby Backus’ current college team, the Tennessee Volunteers, won 13-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rice Owls.

The game took place at Daikin Park. This was their first matchup against the Owls this season.

The Volunteers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 10:05 a.m. at Daikin Park against Arizona Wildcats.
